We arrived Wellington last evening with enough time to settle into the apartment and catch up on a few chores. Yes, laundry still has to be done, even when you're on the road - maybe even more so.
We enjoyed a bit of American TV this morning, as for the past few weeks we've had only 1 or 2 channels to choose from. CNN seems to be the American broadcast network of choice, and of course they must broadcast The Simpsons and Californication daily. There are a few more shows, but we really don't spend our time focusing on TV.We decided to take in the city on foot and headed to the city center. After lunch we rode the cable car to the botanical garden and took in the spectacular begonia exhibit. They were amazing and so colorful. Then it was back to the next to finish laundry as we hit the road tomorrow morning to Okahune where we will attempt the day long Tongariro Crossing! Wish us luck ;-(
