A Short Stay in the Hill Country

We arrived in the heart of the Texas Hill Country Monday afternoon. The weather was great and so was our RV Park.

On Tuesday we decided to go for a drive, so we put the top down on the Mustang and headed South out of Kerrville to Medina, then West to Vanderpool. This drive is breathtaking and we really enjoyed the day. We've been to the Hill Country a number of times over the years, but with each visit it just get's better and better. What an incredible place!

When you get to Medina, be sure to go into town and stop at Adams Apples, a bakery/cafe that is part of Love Creek Orchards. They have wonderful cider, cookies, jams and jellies. They also bake fresh apple pies on location and ship them all over the country. Be sure to stop by for a treat, we particularly enjoyed the apple ice cream!

We snapped a few pictures along the way. The hills and valleys on this route and particularly gorgeous, and then there were Bluebonnets. They were in full bloom and the fragrance was just thick in the air. Too bad you can't bottle that! To check out the photos of the loop CLICK HERE.
