We were in the condo watching the news when we heard a lot of commotion coming from the beach. At first we thought it was only folks having a good time, then came sirens. From our balcony we looked down to the point and we were speechless at the sight.
The Trans-Peninsula highway from San Jose del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas is narrow and full of curves. Areas of the highway hug the coastline and there are few guardrails, and the engineering could use some improvement.
The poor soul driving this vehicle went off the highway above, down the cliff and landed top-down on the beach below. We're not sure if there were fatalities involved, but it sure didn't look encouraging. Gotta be careful!
