2010 03 25 Go Fly A Kite!

Eimhin decided to take advantage of a long weekend break, so he joined us for a bit of Beach R&R. Here is a shot of he and Lisa flying their kite on Costa Azul Beach.

2010 03 23 Spring Break!

Lisa wrapped up a hectic quarter at school so she decided to pay us a visit while we were in the Baja. Here she is on the balcony taking in the sunshine, a nice breeze and the beautiful blue ocean. Costa Azul surfers were enjoying some nice waves too.

2010 03 06 Mexico, San Jose del Cabo - Terrible Crash

We were in the condo watching the news when we heard a lot of commotion coming from the beach. At first we thought it was only folks having a good time, then came sirens. From our balcony we looked down to the point and we were speechless at the sight.

The Trans-Peninsula highway from San Jose del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas is narrow and full of curves. Areas of the highway hug the coastline and there are few guardrails, and the engineering could use some improvement.

The poor soul driving this vehicle went off the highway above, down the cliff and landed top-down on the beach below. We're not sure if there were fatalities involved, but it sure didn't look encouraging. Gotta be careful!

Kite Surfing - the winds were really kicking up the day this picture was taken and he was movin' on! I don't know how he held onto that thing.

Colorful little Song Birds on the Balcony - they sing the most cheerful, lovely melody - and they're starting to put on their colorful spring feathers.













My Fishing Hawk - incredible to watch him swoop down, dive into the water and take off with a fish as big as he is!
